Prim. dr sci. med. Lidija Jovanović is a specialist in anaesthesiology with resuscitation and a subspecialist in pain medicine. She was born in Novi Sad, where she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Novi Sad.

She began her professional career as a volunteer at the Military Medical Centre in Novi Sad, and in 1996 she enrolled in specialist training in anaesthesiology at the Anaesthesia Clinic of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina.

Since 2000, she has worked as a specialist, obtained the title of primarius in 2010, and since 2012 has served as head of the Department of Anaesthesia in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. She completed her subspecialisation in pain medicine in 2019, along with active involvement in the development of ERAS protocols for postoperative recovery after caesarean section.
