He completed his undergraduate medical studies in 2000 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad. He passed the specialist exam in thoracic surgery in 2007 and defended his master’s thesis in 2009. He completed his doctoral studies in 2016. One year later, in 2017, he defended a thesis in his narrower specialization on minimally invasive thyroidectomy combined with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

He gained work experience at the Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica, at the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery, where he worked until 2016. He is currently a specialist in thoracic surgery and a subspecialist in endocrine surgery at Medicentar.

His narrower area of interest includes minimally invasive video-assisted surgeries of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. He has completed further training in Germany, England, Dubai, and Brazil.

For his outstanding work, he was awarded the title of primarius in 2016, and he is also licensed by the Dubai Health Authority as a thoracic and endocrine surgeon. He is the author and co-author of numerous professional and scientific papers and a participant in domestic and international professional conferences.

He is a member of the Serbian Medical Society (Section of Thoracic Surgeons), the Association of Physicians of Vojvodina, the Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Serbia and Montenegro, and the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS).
